A Blessing for the Body I Will Leave Behind

October 22, 2026
A horseshoe arranged on gravel with rose petals, stones, moss, greenery, and a dried orange slice.

When I pass into the next soul walk, beyond the veil of this material realm, may I lay this precious body down in reverence and devotion.

With deep gratitude for all she has carried me through, for every whisper offered in the quiet chambers of my being, even amidst the hum of others.

I give thanks for the language of sensation, for pleasure as sacred teacher, for the ecstatic map of this holy flesh that became both altar and portal.

I honor the shamanic voyage that pulsed through the in-between, through the shimmering web of my own bodily cosmos.

May I remember, as I release her, that she was me and I was her.

And may the skin I shed become a talisman of remembrance, an unfurling testament left behind for others to read, to murmur over, to feast upon, that they too may grow into their next luminous becoming.

If these bones and this skin cannot be gathered and held by my beloved ones, to aid them in their communion with the dead, with me, with the liminal threads of our shared making, then may my ashes find their way home into the All That Is,
woven through with joy, with wild magic, and with a never ending spell that calls out through time and space:

Remember.
Again and again.
Remember.
